Notes: Just one week to Superbowl, feel free to comment on Don’s streamer below and leave your prediction on who will get the rings this year. This is the Seattle submission from Don’s 32 streamer Team Colors Collection. The Team Colors series was started after an on-line fly swap using the colors from one of the teams in the Superbowl in 2006. The Steelers beat the Seahawks that year 21-10 and was the first of the 32 thematic patterns in the series. It took Don a couple of years to complete all the teams, but well worth the wait. Most of that time was spent looking for just the right colors and feathers to create the right feel for each. If you are not a fan of Seattle, not to worry, we have many more from the series included in the project.

Don Soar – Born and raised in central Massachusetts now living in Lancaster with my wife of twenty years Nancy. Fishing started young in life tagging along with my brothers. I took up fly fishing in the early 90’s. Ten years later I started tying flies. After meeting Mike Martinek Jr. at a local fly shop I was introduced to the dark side of fly tying, the long fly.

  1. I was rooting for a Harbaugh v. Harbaugh SuperBowl, but since both the Ravens and 49rs lost in the Conference Championship games, I don’t really have a rooting interest in the game. It’s hard to bet against Brady, but I have a feeling that the Giants are going to edge out the Patriots on some funky play (deflected pass, mishandled hand-off, etc.) leading to a last-minute field goal … something like 33-31.

  2. I won’t be watching – and will be as excited about the result as I was last year. (Hard to believe that there are a couple of us still around …. so lets say my vote is neutral πŸ™‚

  3. Being a soccer and rugby fan, I don’t follow American Football closely but I’ve always had a soft spot for the New England Patriots.

By the way, feel free to add a link to the Other Sports section of my Soccer Site (click on name!)

  4. Love the Superbowl. Have to agree with geoffrey, Pats win. Not very creative, but we always have Chili for Superbowl Sunday.
