Originated by: Carrie Stevens
Source: Forgotten Flies, Schmookler & Sils (1999)

Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek 8 XL, #1
Thread: Black
Body: Flat silver tinsel

Shoulder: Green phase golden pheasant body feathers

Notes: Monte says:

“A fly that drew my attention the minute I bought the Carrie Stevens Rangeley Favorites poster.”

It looks like this may have been from a private collection. The Boston Blackie isn’t a common streamer, but it is quite something to look at. It does not appear outside of Schmookler & Sils writings (that I can find), but it does fit Carrie’s style quite nicely.
