Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek/Carrie Stevens streamer hook size 2, 8XL
Body: Red mylar
Rib: Oval red tinsel, small
Belly: A small bunch of red bucktail followed by a larger bunch of dyed black bucktail
Underwing: 2 large golden pheasant crests, dyed bright red
Wing: Tied in as 2 separate units with shoulders, with each side consisting of 2 black saddle hackles
Shoulder: Mallard flank feather dyed black
Eyes: Jungle Cock
Throat: Black schlappen fibers with small golden pheasant crest dyed bright red at front
Head: Black Benecchi 12/0
Notes: This is a striking dark pattern contrasted by the brilliant red dyed golden pheasant crests. In addition to trolling this on a deep eastern lake, I would also throw it into some of the chilled western rivers for the winter run steelhead.

He has been tying flies since he was in grade school, with a special emphasis on dressing both steelhead and Atlantic salmon patterns. He is relatively new to the streamer game but very interested in improving his skills and continuing to learn more about this style of fly.
