Hook: Partridge CS15 #2
Tail: Yellow hackle fivers
Body: Gold embossed tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Yellow Schlappen
Wing: 2 red hackles flanked by 2 natural Coq de Leon hackles on each side
Shoulder: Red then yellow Lady Amherst pheasant body feather
Eye: Jungle cock
Notes: A part of the beauty of both badger and Coq de Leon feathers is their ability to re-tone the base colors placed under them. The bright red of the dyed hackle is toned down to a more natural looking reddish speckled, natural patterned cloak. There is no doubt in the effectiveness of yellow and red streamers as evidenced by the Mickey Finn and Jim Warner’s Yellow Marabou Special. The shoulder of the fly is comprised by staggering a red tipped and a yellow tipped Lady Amherst pheasant body feather.
