The Bengals were founded in 1966 as a member of the AFL by former Cleveland Browns head coach Paul Brown. The team name comes from a previous team that played several seasons in 1937-1941, named so for the cities world renowned for it’s rare white bengal tiger. The color of orange Paul Brown chose seas the exact shade of orange used by his former team the Browns. A bitter rivalry exists between the two teams to this day.

Don Soar – Born and raised in central Massachusetts now living in Lancaster with my wife of twenty years Nancy. Fishing started young in life tagging along with my brothers. I took up fly fishing in the early 90’s. Ten years later I started tying flies. After meeting Mike Martinek Jr. at a local fly shop I was introduced to the dark side of fly tying, the long fly.
