Notes: This is another smelty streamer from Don’s TCC series. Don does some amazing body work on the Detroit TCC employing a three strand rib with an impacting visual appeal. The Detroit Lions began playing in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1929 as the Spartans. Because of the Great Depression and being in a small market, the team folded in the early thirties and was bought and moved to Detroit.

Don Soar – Born and raised in central Massachusetts now living in Lancaster with my wife of twenty years Nancy. Fishing started young in life tagging along with my brothers. I took up fly fishing in the early 90’s. Ten years later I started tying flies. After meeting Mike Martinek Jr. at a local fly shop I was introduced to the dark side of fly tying, the long fly.
