Notes: Gray Wolf’s Yellow Ghost is true to the Carrie Stevens linage of Ghost patterns. The pattern is a reflection of Mrs. Stevens’ Gray Ghost using a yellow wing and body. Another version of a Yellow Ghost appeared in Dick Stewart and Bob Leeman’s ‘Trolling Flies for trout and Salmon’ which is quite distinct from other versions and features a barred wood duck shoulder and a black body.

Eunan Hendron – I’ve been tying flies since I was about 10 or 11, a direct progression from fishing stillwater team competitions with my father as a young boy. I began tying classic flies (wet, streamer and atlantic salmon) towards the end of 2011, having never tied them before. A pretty steep learning curve, not for the feint of heart, but many thanks are due to the members of various forums who gave me tips and constructive criticism to aid my progression.
