Notes: The Undulaatti featherwing streamer is a bright yellow fly with blue undertones. In Finnish, Undulaatti means budgie, a suiting name for the brightly coloured fly. Tomas used Carrie Stevens’ Morning Glory pattern as the starting inspiration and swapped colors on some materials to arrive at the finished streamer. The streamer was tested in Finnish waters during the spring run and faired well with trout.
Tuomas Iso-Ahola – I was born in Kalmari (Saarijärvi, Finland) 1983. My fishing history began when I was four years old. My father took me with him to fish with a hook and worm. In 2005 I started to fly fish and was instantly ”hooked”. Fly fishing is my lifestyle and my favorite places to fish are the rivers.
