Ken grew up near the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in Melvin Village, NH. As a young boy he fished the big lake and the lakes region. At ten years old, in 1972, Ken discovered fly tying and was immediately hooked. Jim Warner would be his greatest influence from his patient encouragement to the valuable advice to: “tie flies that catch fish!” Over the years Ken would strive to capture the allure of lost patterns (and some well known) from originators like Carrie Stevens, Herbie Welch, Bert Quimby, and others who would leave their mark upon his flies. In the late 90’s Ken settled in Attleboro MA and fishes throughout New England with a special love of the Rangeley area.
